Neil Osborne, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

After a numbers of years as an educator and a professional operator of projects in both commercial real estate and corporate facilities, Neil Osborne recognized the need for an affordable, easy to use and comprehensive set of tools, products and instructional materials to serve the needs of a diverse market. He is the Founder and CEO of Investit Software, and, in addition to managing various corporate operations, has many years of experience teaching varieties of real estate analysis and related financial topics to all levels of students and practitioners in the Commercial Real Estate industry. His style, and easy to understand real-life examples enables him to present complex concepts in ways that make the topics “user friendly”.

Mr. Osborne is a retired professional engineer, with an MBA from the University of BC, and lives in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. Neil was a lecturer in marketing, business strategy and sales management at UBC and taught a number of graduate level courses in real estate investment and development analysis at the BC Institute of Technology, the Royal Melbourne (Australia) Institute of Technology.

For a number of years Neil was a managing partner of the real estate and development division of a multi-dimensional real estate firm involved in architectural and engineering design, commercial real estate sales and leasing, property management, construction management and development. He has structured a number of real estate joint ventures and has been involved in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry for many years. Neil has developed and taught courses on commercial real estate, investment, development and lease analysis for many years to residential and commercial Realtor boards & associations, and CCIM Chapters in Canada and the USA. Because of the popularity of these courses, he was selected by NAR to present educational seminars at their national conferences.

Directing a team of systems designers and programmers, Mr. Osborne developed a very popular and comprehensive real estate investment analysis program suite called Investit Express and Investit Pro, which he uses as a demonstration and analytical tool to teach real estate investment, development, buy versus lease, hold vs sell, and both Landlord and Tenant lease analysis.

Alex Mazurok, Chief Technology Officer

For over 18 years Alex Mazurok has had a wide ranging and successful career as a senior computer programmer, team leader, director and manager of product development and customer support for a number of companies, in different corporate sectors with unique data processing and reporting requirements. As a honors graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Alex started his career as a university instructor in computer engineering, systems design, network operations and database management.

Moving into industry Alex became Project Leader and Senior Programmer for a company developing visual on-line reporting tools, data acquisition sub-systems, database structures, relations and communications. He then moved to the Innovico Group Inc. and worked in development of a number of applications which are Java/JSP based and which provide advanced functionality in E-Commerce, Web Services and Portals serving various verticals in the B2C environment.

Mr. Mazurok’s next major project focus was as Java programmer and analyst on the team responsible for developing the Excelica Spreadsheet Reporting System, which enables users to create MS Excel compatible reports from Java applications. He was involved as lead programmer for a variety of projects developed for customers, including a software license protection system, a real estate listing system, an automated metering system for major industrial gas distribution, and a Web spider search engine similar to Google.

Alex then joined Investit Software in 2003 and became the Chief Technology Officer, the position he currently holds. In addition to managing all software, systems and network operations, he has been the lead in developing the Investit Pro and Investit Express product suites, the Investit products serving the Commercial Real Estate Industry. Recent additions to the modules comprising Investit Pro, such as Buy vs Lease and Hold vs Sell, were developed by Alex. New features and functions to be announced are under development, as well as the technology foundation supporting the very popular series of webinars that Investit presents throughout the USA and Canada. Mr. Mazurok supervises all aspects of the development and technology platforms, as well as the various elements of the toolset enabling the Investit Auto Update, the Subscription System, Online Registration System and more.

The latest addition to the Investit group of products, Investit Decisions, is a powerful and flexible system for performing Cost / Benefit Analysis for any industry and any financial or expenditure decision process. Based on the conceptual designs created by Neil Osborne, our CEO, the Decisions product was architected, developed and production released by Mr. Mazurok, who continues to add value every day to the growing expansion and profit centers within Investit Software.
